log server migration

Hi everyone:

I've moved logging/sme to a new VM (more capacity/different location).  New VM is the same version as the old VM - R81.10.

Pointed all gateways to the new VM, and all is working fine.  I'd like to move 3 months of logs from the old to the new.  Is it as simple as sftp'ing all: /opt/CPsuite-R81.10/fw1/log/yyyy-mm-dd* files for the time period i'm interested in to the same directory on the new VM?

I know few years ago I had client tell me they did that and it worked. Not sure if thats per se supported method though : - )

Yes, this is the way to do it: move the files across and reindex the logs.
