installing ospf interface
Has anyone installed OSPF interface and if so, can you tell me your experience please?

Afaik, OSPF is a IGP routing protocol, not an interface ! See sk95968: OSPF on Gaia, sk109049 - Dynamic Routing Troubleshooting Tips and the R80.20 Gaia Advanced Routing Administration Guide for details.

OSPF is still assigned per interface, you create the Areas you need and then you set the interface to to be handling those Areas.
We run a number of VSX gateways with OSPF on them with quite some routes (around 1800). This is running quite smooth, although you need to make sure to run the latest Jumbo.
