Smartconsole - redirect to webgui instead of open log tab

I had this issue longer time ago but I did not remember what was the reason for. 
After migrate from R77.30 to R80.40 the Log tab did not open, instead the login prompt of the Webgui appears .. 
any ideas ?

There is little information in your post to figure out the reason. Have you tried accessing logs via SmartView directly by going to https://<ip_of_the_management_server>/smartview ? When you do, does your login works? Are your SmartEvent and Management server on the same machine? In the "Log Servers" on the right, are all log/management servers selected?

Hi Vladimir

the attempt is  to get to the log tab in the smartconsole .. so when click to "New Tab" the webgui login starts

Do you perhaps have a NAT rule interfering?  Check your logs for events with source IP being the PC you are running SmartConsole from and service https.
