Hello,
I have to OS upgrade a security Management server form R80.10 with Advanced upgrade.I see error When Extract the R80.40 Management Server Migration Tool package with tar zxvf <Name of Management Server Migration Tool Package>tgz. Please find the attached file for error message. I guess, this file was wrong When check point team uploaded the migration tool.

I have just downloaded it myself and it expanded correctly without errors ? Did you check the files MD5 ? Sometimes, using another browser to perform download also can help !

Greetings all.
I have often encountered this problem in Firefox.
As an example, not so long ago I encountered this problem when loading hotfix Check_Point_R80.30_jhf_T226_MABDA_sk113410_FULL.tgz from sk113410.

yes. while I may be old school, I suggest always do a checksum validation on any file downloaded from trusted source. The importance of this step only magnified when doing things related to firewalls, HFA/JFA patches, smartconsole updates, etc.
Important to remind everyone that CP download page often includes a "more info" button that will expand to include SHA checksums, etc.
