Multi Domain Management - Importing Security Gateway's

Hello,

I am looking for information about the best way to import individual gateways from a management server to different domains on a Multi-domain Management Server.

I have checked documentation and there is are well-documented ways to migrate an entire domains to a multi-domain server. This is not exactly what we are after.

As a simplified summary, we have an existing management server with 2 security gateways. Due to tighten security, we need migrate to a multidomain management solution and we need to have each security gateway in it's own domain.

We are looking for a way to achieve this with having to manually recreate everything. If someone has any scripts using the API that would do this and is willing to share this would be great.

Many thanks,

Michael

This is probably your best bet: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/API-CLI-Discussion/Python-tool-for-exporting-importing-a-policy-...
This can be used to copy the policy package and related objects to a different management.
Since you’re not migrating the domain and there are some limits in the API, some items will have to be manually migrated (SIC and Certificates in particular).
