That is called Domain/CMA HA. See Multi-Domain Security Management Administration Guide R80.20 p.19 ff, Deploying Multi-Domain Management - Multi-Site High Availability Deployment

Hi Günther,

Thanks's for your reply.

I am looking for documentation that describes something like multi-context mode from ASA, where a single site Cluster pair is managed by different domains.

thanks

You original question i read as: MDS and active/Standby = Management HA. But what you mean with "multi-context mode from ASA" i do not know at all, and that "a single site Cluster pair is managed by different domains" is nothing i have ever heard of. So i would suggest to open a ticket with TAC!

I think you are looking for documentation on VSX and managing it by a Multi-domain environment.

Hi Maarten,

Thanks for the reply.  That looks exactly like what I was looking for.

If anyone else is looking for Cisco ASA mulitcontext /cluster equivalent the topology seems to be described on page 252 of Checkpoint VSX admin Guide R80.20.

Check Point VSX R80.20 Administration Guide

Cheers !
