LDAP Account Unit

Hi

This may seem like a basic question but I am unable to find in clarification. 

In the LDAP Account Unit, what is the purpose or relevance of the Objects Management tab? Although we have several domain controllers,  I can only select one in the "Servers to connect" dropdown. Is this relevant to IA on the gateways or is it just used for the administration by the management servers?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Roy,

It is used by the Management Server for the querys needed during administration in Smart Console. Before R80.X, that connection was made by the SmartDashboard Client, and after that the Management Server is the one establishing the connection.

You need to select the server to which the Management Server has access to.

It might be related to the legacy User Directory feature.
