Hello,

I have a question for you:

I would like to ask you what are the impacts if by mistake we choose wrong Hardware and Version settings in Platform area?

I have a Standalone Cluster Full HA with two Checkpoint Appliances 5000 Series Hardware. 

By mistake i choose Hardware "Open Server" and the Version was correct "R80.40"

But i had some serious problems regarding connectivity, delays in networks, etc 

After a few hours later i realized that these settings are wrong and i changed with the correct ones (see attached pictures) and the problems disappeared!

I m not sure if that was the problem but i did nothing else rather than these changes, so i persume that indeed that was the problem!

Any idea about this?

I am curious to see what others say, but I had seen people make that mistake many times before and it was never an issue. My educated guess is that it may had been just a coincidence, but hard to say 100%. Can you pull any logs from the time of the issue? Just look in /var/log/messages.x files

I do confirm. I newer saw it as a root cause of any issues.
