Disk Space Managment

Anyone know of a reason why the Disk Space Management of the management server may not be working?   

We have the following settings on our management and I would expect it to self clean so to speak after reaching the threshold.

running a df -h reports 87% usage on vg_splat-lv log.

There's about a 5% buffer reserved for root-level processes in Linux filesystems.
The df command excludes this buffer, but I'm guessing our checks do not.
