Command on management server in order to see license info as regards managed gateways

Hello Community

Is any command on management server in order to see license info as regards managed gateways

We can see the total managed gateways with cpstat os -f licensing,

We want to see also the used.

Kostas

The number of "managed" gateways is actually a function of the number of gateway-type objects defined at policy install, I believe.
That would include:

  • Non-VSX Gateways
  • Virtual Systems (not the VSX Gateways themselves)
  • SMB Gateways

We do have commands that will generate a list for regular management: https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solut...
And for Multi-Domain: https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solut...

The number of items in these list should correspond to the number of "used" managed gateway slots.

Hello PhoneBoy

Thank you for the response but sk172909 doesn't seem relevant.

Hello PhoneBoy

In case we want to see information about VSes? The command from sk return the non-VSX gateways.

Hello,

sk85621 does theoretically work, but according to my information under "NGSM Licensing" only Active and Standby are consuming a Gateway license, Backup instances don't. So indeed, assuming that there is an internal mechanism verifying if enough licenses are there, it would be great to have a query as to "how many licenses do you have" and "how many are consumed" on an MDS with VSX...

kind regards, Arne
