Installed 80.10 in an vm environment , standalone deployment, also tried with distributed.

Application,URL filtering works only if i select a specific application in the security rule.

What is the R77.30 equivalent of "Any Recognized" field in R80,R80.10 ?

Tried a lot of security rule combinations(same rule fw blade + appi urlf; different layer for appi urlf ) but they didnt worked.

Question: Whats the R80,R80.10 equivalent of "Any Recognized" field from the Application Control policy in R77.30?

Found the answer. Needed to negate Unknown traffic object.

Hi,

This is actually a common misconception that we carried since the introduction of Application Control in R75.20:

Any Recognized in R7x actually means Any – both known traffic that the engine can recognize and the unknown traffic.

In R80.10, we removed the "Any Recognized" object and replaced it with Any, which wasn't previously allowed in Application Control layers. However, the enforcement remains exactly the same.
