What is the full form (expansion) of BFM, its mentioned multiple times in the documentation, but i can't find the full form of it.
What does it exactly do?

Sorry for the delay in my response.
BFM stands for Backplane Fabric Module. BFM represents the physical front panel ports of the SSM fabric switch as network interfaces on each of the SGMs.
Traffic received on each interface is tagged for a specific VLAN – dependant upon which port the traffic is received on. When SGM receives the traffic BFM process strips the VLAN tag and marks it as coming from the appropriate interface.

Continuing @Lari_Luoma response, the visible interfaces in the system are actually pseudo interfaces, which one of the BFM's responsibilities is also to create these interfaces
