Is it possible to upgrade the Gaia Management server from Build 009 to 013?
Hello CheckMates!
I need to upgrade a Gaia management server running R77.30 build 009, OS build 204 to R77.30 build 013, OS build 3.
But why I need to do this?
In the R77.30 build 009, OS build 204, I don't have the possibility to add multiple log servers in the gateway properties (or in the gateway cluster properties in my case) because there is no option do do this like I can do when running R77.30 build 013, OS build 3.

Simply looking at the output of fw ver is not enough to find out patch level you're actually running.
What does the output of installed_jumbo_take say?
Incidentally, that will probably tell you how to resolve it: install the same JHF version on both systems.

Thank you Dameon.
The JHF 286 installed in both systems, in this case.
But I think the difference on that window is not related to this JHF.
What do you think if the same JHF are already installed?
I was looking at the CP documentation yesterday and I saw some rules
related to the installation of JHFs where if the first JHF installed after
a clean install was performed using CLI, all of the next JHFs need to be
done using CLI, but if CPUSE was used at first time, the next JHFs need to
use CPUSE again...
And looking for that, I don’t know what was used here when another person
was working here... and if it is not causing this problem now (the JHF take
286 I installed using CPUSE without issues few months ago)

There is definitely something to the order that JHFs are installed.
For example, because of how this works, for Endpoint Management to get standard Jumbo Hotfixes, you install:
1. R77.30 Base
2. JHF 143 (to get R77.30.03)
3. Any JHF take 282 or later
Regardless, I think you need to have the TAC look at this, because this doesn't look right: Contact Support | Check Point Software

Hello Dameon
Just to update here...
This morning I installed the last JHF (292) and it did not fix the issue.
By the way, when we are installing a JHF there are some verifications before the installation process which give us the validation if the package can be installed in the current system. In this way, I don't understand why I would be facing a JHF installation order problem...

CPUSE does this verification process.
I don't know if it is a hotfix install order or not, but it's definitely not expected behavior.
Which is why is why I suggested a TAC case.

I would use sk114513 List of R77.30 Gaia OS build numbers and kernel versions per released image to verify kernel version and also look into Dashboard > Help > About Smart Dashboard. My suspicion is that it also could depend on the Dashboard version, but that is only possible if you have used two (different) Dashboard installations for the screenshots...

Thank you Guenther!
I was in that page before and I would be sure If I can perform the Gaia upgrade from R77.30 kernel version X to R77.30 kernel version Y.

Hi, but you can not upgrade the kernel - the process is like this:
- perform migrate export on the SMS and save the export file in a save place
- install latest image from sk104859 Check Point R77.30 (Clean Install and Upgrade).
- run First Time Wizard for basic config
- run migrate import
- install Jumbo Take
Before trying that, check the Dashboard Version first...

Yes sure, I was trying to avoid this procedure...
Thank you!
