About the IP addresses of corporate cluster members

I would like to configure ClusterXL with two Quantum-GW devices and one Smart-1.

Please tell me about the addresses to set on the Quantum-GW. The zones used by the GW are three types: internal, external, and management. I plan to prepare three virtual IP address.

Do I need to prepare one physical IP address for each zone as well (a total of six IP addresses), or since it's just the management port with Smart-1, is it sufficient to have physical IP addresses only for the management port (a total of two IP addresses)?

Hi @TSOL

If you want to use clustering, you will neet 3 IP's per subnet. Member1, Member2, VIP

For management interface, the "private" type will be enough.

Check this: https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R81.20/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R81.20_ClusterXL_AdminGuide/Content...

Thank you Akos,

It is understood that, we need 3 IP address for each subnet in each zone excluding the  management interface.
