Sending email from GAIA Gateway to Office365

Hi Everyone:

I would like to know how I can configure for sending emails from a Gateway to a Office365 hosted domain.

The only config reference I found is https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R82/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R82_Gaia_AdminGuide/Content/Topics-GAG... where yo can only configure an IP (or domain name) and a user

I undestand that begining March or April Office365 will no allow this type of connections anymore.

Regards,

Pablo

Thats what I found as well. Might be worth TAC case.

That assumes TLS and authentication, which I don't believe is supported for this feature.

To add the official documentation 😉

What is posted before I can confirm that TAC case is needed for statement.

Known Limitations

  • Alert emails do not support SSL/TLS.

  • Alert emails do not support authentication.

You must configure the applicable SMTP server with the options "Mail Relay" and "No Authentication".

Hi Everyone

I will tellyou what I found after research

YOu can configure the included MTA (postfix) according these SKs

sk142932 - How to configure Mail Transfer Agent's (MTA) incoming and outgoing SMTP ports

sk109699 - ATRG: Mail Transfer Agent (MTA)

but .....

Microsoft plans to permanently disable basic authentication starting March 1st, 2026, so you need to use OAUTH2 to send emails

Theres is a postfix plugin to do so, but it is not included in Checkpoint documentation

https://std.rocks/relay-ms365-oauth.html

By the way, I opened a case with TAC and gave me the 2 first SKs. When I asked for OAUTH2, TAC told me there is no support or workarounds for OAUTH2.

Pablo
