Best way to upgrade vSEC cluster from r77.30 to r80.10
What would be a right approach for upgrade of the production r77.30 clusters in AWS (or Azure), to r80.10?
Does it make sense to use CPUSE or re-deploying the cluster from r80.10 AMIs from the scratch is preferable?

Considering you can't do an in-place upgrade in public cloud, your only option is to deploy new versions from scratch.

So the CPUSE will automatically show the HFAs we are permitted to install on vSEC instances, but will refuse the version upgrade?
Can you point me to the source of this limitation/practice?
Thank you.

While you can't do it with CPUSE, it does appear there is a procedure to do it.
You have to contact the TAC to get the specific instructions per SK: How to upgrade vSEC for AWS & vSEC for Microsoft Azure from R77.30 / R80 to R80.10
