CCTE R82

[alexisar]

hi all,

Back in May i completed my training for the CCTE 81.20 exam.

i have just completed my revision and tried to book the exam only to notice that only R82 is available as of 1st of Oct.

if anyone knows, how much has the exam content changed? is it still possible to pass the exam given that:

1) our environment is still on 81.20

2) i have only taken the r81.20 course

The CCTE R81.20 exam unfortunately was retired on 30th September 2026

Please see attached for the course descriptions. The Modules/Chapters are in there.

I would not recommend using the old version courseware to prepare for the new version course.

Regards,

Don

It's highly annoying that the R81.20 exams were already removed when R81.20 is still around and supported for months.

For partnership reasons, I had to renew this year both CCSE and CCTE. I didn't have the time to renew CCTE until recently when I found out it was out of the PearsonVUE catalog. So I went for the R82 CCTE using the R81.20 material and it was mostly OK. Compare the table of contents of both and read SK of what differs, there's not that much actually.
