Maestro Madness
Hi,
We are an application provider and our application is getting a false positive from Zone Alarm at a joint customer. I am looking for a way to proactively whitelist our application such that it is not flagged. Do you have a program for this that we can work with?
I saw an earlier post https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/Threat-Prevention/Application-whitelist/m-p/13289#M343
which seemed to say that the only route is for the customer to raise a case through support. Is this correct? Can we work directly with CheckPoint to resolve this?
Note, I have checked our app in VirusTotal (https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/c2ef02bcf32a25e0295f25b3364528c28526430b1316914964b4adc64efc2af1...) and it is passing, including ZoneAlarm by Check Point.
Best regards
Richard
The said customer can exclude some files and folders from being scanned, but the only proper was to address the issue proactively, as you said, is to go through the official channels.
Hi _Val_,
Can you help me with what are the official channels? How do I contact them? I am only aware of this forum as a way to raise these false positives.
Thanks
Richard
Personally, I would probably start with your Sales person, they might be the best option to raise this.
The customer contacts CP TAC as he has support for Zone Alarm
Hi G W
Thanks for confirming. Will this be for a specific binary? So that they will need to follow the process on every release? Or is there some way to register our signed applications so that all future versions will not be flagged?
Thanks
Richard
This is a good question for R&D - but i have to admit that i am no Zone Alarm specialist at all 8)
TAC and local Check Point representatives, of course.
