I would like to use SmartMove to migrate a Palo Alto fw to Check Point and I saw that the version available in the SK115416 is from 2022-11-30 !
Is there a more recent version available for download?
I used it couple of times to convert PAN config to CP in the lab, worked really well, then sent migrate server export to customers and it loaded okay on their end as well. Not aware of anu newer version, apart from whats in the sk itself.
Thank you for your prompt response!
Searching the internet I found another migration tool which is more recent and it seems to be pretty good!
https://github.com/vahidta/firewall_migration_tool
Now I am in doubt which one I should use.
To be on the safe side, maybe the one available in sk115416 is better!!
What is your tought?
I cannot find it. SK was updated only for cosmetic reasons last year i see. Any issues with the tool?

Of course, glad to help.
Here is my thinking...that tool looks fine, BUT, if its not officially supported by Check Point, then I would 100% stick with smart move, which is an official CP conversion tool. Now, the only catch is that if you do have any issues, TAC might not be able to fully assist, as I suppose that sort of problem may more fall under Professional services realm, if you will. Honestly, Im always more than happy to test it in my lab, as long as you are willing/allowed to send the config.
Hope that helps.
Forgot to mention...I just remembered, I actually still have lab mgmt I built for this sole purpose to help a customer migrate from Sophos to CP while back, so that can be used for similar conversion again. If you are allowed to send the PAN config, I can give it a go tomorrow or over the weekend, not an issue.
I want to move rules from Fortinet to Check Point R82, can I use current Smartmove of is there version for R82?
