ospf routemap and route-redistribution at the same time
Hi Mates,
want to use routemaps and route-redistribution at the same time to propagate routes to ospf.
For example I want to define a nat-pool with 10.0.0.0/8 and redistribute it via route-redistribution.
I checked that there is no existing routemap with 10.0.0.0/8 but as long as any routemap is configured the route-redistribution seems to be ignored.
Gaia R81.10 JHF T156
Any idea?
Cheers,
David

Routemaps take precedence over route-redistribution. Recommend not trying to mix methods as it will complicate things in future.

One of my colleague and I did large ospf/bgp setup for a customer few years back and I cant recall about your exact point, but will check the config tomorrow and let you know.
Its on R81.20, but Im sure thats not overly relevant here.

Thanks for the feedback and you're right with the recommendation to not use them at the same time 😅
I'm also aware that routemaps take precedence but I was not able to use both at the same time.
I resolved it with additional routemaps but just wanted check if someone ever was able to use both possibilities at the same time
Cheers,
David
