listusers command

Hello,

During a recent TAC course I was told we could use the command "listusers" to get an overview of the users connected via VPN to our gateway. Sure enough, this is listed in the Admin guide:

https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R80.20_GA/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R80.20_CLI_ReferenceGuide/html_f...

listusers

Description

Shows a list of end-users connected to the Mobile Access Gateway, along with their source IP addresses.

Syntax

listusers

Example

[Expert@MyGW:0]# listusers

---------------------------------

User Name | IP

---------------------------------

Tom , 192.168.0.51

**bleep** , 192.168.0.130

Jane , 192.168.0.7

[Expert@MyGW:0]#

However, in practice I just get an empty table, at every of our customers I log in to.

Any inspiration why this might be? Is there a more specific context in which this command will actually provide decent output?

Yours,

Willem

It might be, you are using Remote Access and not MAB.

Anyhow, here is a summary that might help: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/General-Topics/Remote-Access-VPN-Short-List-of-Most-Useful-Resou...

There are alternative ways to get user numbers
