how to check what was going on during upgrading in clish

Hi all,

Is there any log file or something which says how a OS upgrading was, hopefully in detail?

Thanks in advance

You can review the following logs to start:

/opt/CPInstLog/DeploymentAgent.log
/opt/CPInstLog/DA_UI.log
/var/log/messages

If you used CPUSE upgrade, log file is present for each package. You can check the path of log using clish command "show installer package <PACKAGE_ID> all". Log path is last line in the output.

If you talk of an upgrade like R81.20 -> R82, you will find a folder named like:

/opt/CPInstLog/install_Major_R82_jaguar_opt_main_T777.logDir/

that contains the upgrate / migrate logs.

Dear @Chris_Atkinson , @JozkoMrkvicka , @G_W_Albrecht  and @the_rock ,

Thank you all! I am still new to this field, not getting gist of which file is which.

I did not know show installer packages all output says the path of log file.

You legends helped me a lot! much appreciated 😉
