Hi,
i want to configure DHCP server on my GAIA os with dhcp server option 150 - tftp for ip phones.
i saw sk92473 but it says we can only use the options showed in https://linux.die.net/man/5/dhcpd.conf
and option 150 isn't there.
someone knows if this is supported and how to configure it? thanks
Strange - https://linux.die.net/man/5/dhcpd.conf shows:
option tftp-server-nametext;This option is used to identify a TFTP server and, if supported by the client, should have the same effect as the server-namedeclaration. BOOTP clients are unlikely to support this option. Some DHCP clients will support it, and others actually require it.
Hi,
no, you could not find it there - you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to find:
DHCP option statements are documented in the dhcp-options(5) manual page.
Its the man page...
Hi Amir
you remember to write-protect the config file Else after reboot the changes are gone.
Hi Amir. Did you ever find the correct syntax for this? If so could you share. I need the same information. Thanks in advance.
Hello Tim
I think I have found correct syntax for the dhcpd.conf. I noticed that in this file is a lack of the "# Define Custom Options" and # "Global Config" separators.
# Define Custom Options
option voip-tftp-server code 150 = ip-address;
# Global Config
subnet 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
[...]
option voip-tftp-server 10.101.0.10;
option voip-tftp-server 10.101.0.11;
}
Best regards
