A couple questions around blink imaging:
1. sk120193 doesn't show support for 6000 series appliances. Is it truly not supported, or is the sk article just not updated?
2. Regarding the images that can be installed via blink: Is there any way to install a 'base' image [eg. R80.20 (GA Take 101)] and then add offline CPUSE packages to be installed? Or can blink only install the base images that exist in sk120193, and everything else would have to be done after the fact via CPUSE? For example, how would I use blink to install R80.20 + JHFA Take 78?
As far as I know, we do not have blink image for 6000 series yet. If I am not mistaken, it runs 3.10 kernel, and blink for it is still in works.
@Norbert_Bohusch could be, let me check with developers then
@Norbert_Bohusch correct, my mistake, mixed with 16k. Chasing R&D to see why 6000 do not have blink. Will update when answered
@Norbert_Bohusch you are most probably right. Now, the question is, why 🙂
Hi,
Did you ever hear back why? Will there ever be a blink image for the 6000s in R80.20 (I see that there is one for R80.40)?
The OP had also asked about including JHFA's as part of a Blink installation. I've done plenty of Blink installs with customized commands, but it is not clear to me how to include a JHFA. Is this possible?
Thanks!
I have the same question: Why is Blink not supported on the "new" appliances. In sk120193 (Blink) I do not see any Image especially for GAiA 3.10, but in sk153152 (R80.30 JHFA) I find an image "Blink Image for Security Gateway Gaia 3.10 - Clean Install / Upgrade" with that GAiA Release.
Could someone from Check Point please shed some light on that? Is Blink supported with GAiA 3.10? When will it be supported for the new appliances?
Blink image for 3.10 you are referring to in sk153152, it is only supported to the following: 26000T, 26000, 23900, 23800, 16000T, 16000.
As you can see, 6K are not listed. AFAIK, 6000 have a RAID which is not playing nicely with Blink.
