Why is my old password still active on some URLs?
I have a Checkpoint GAIA R81.10 Firewall. I change the password of my admin account like so:
set selfpasswd
I did that about two hours ago. Now when I try to login to some Checkpoint URLs + Apps only the new password works, while on some URLs and Apps only the old password works
- Connection via SSH: Only new password works
- https://my-server-ip : Only new password works
- https://my-server-ip/smartview : Only OLD password works
- SmartConsole: Only OLD password works
How is this possible? How can I make Smartview + Smartconsole use the new password?

set selfpasswd changes the Gaia OS password.
SmartConsole (and SmartView) use a different password database.
I assume what you did was choose the option during FTW to use the same password for both.
I don’t believe these passwords are synced but you can confirm that the admin account in SmartConsole is using OS Password (instead of Internal Password).

Execute an Install Database operation from the SmartConsole via the pull-down menu in upper left corner.

What phoneboy said is 100% correct. That command does NOT change your smart console password, that can be done either via web UI or smart console itself if you prefer.
