Important! R80 and R80.10
End Of Support around the corner (May 2021)
Which way do you usually configure Security Checkups(R80.10)?
a. A standalone deployment (Management and gateway running on the same box)
b. Security Management and Security gateway (Security Management Server and the Security Gateway are installed on the different appliances)
It is helpful to know your method.
Thank you.
Hello usually a standalone deployment (Management and gateway running on the same box), because the customer sometimes doesn't give you 2 ips or the enough space to install two devices, if the customer has high demand of traffic and logs I usually ask the customer if he can give me a VM to create the manager.
All the time I use the cloud service to create the reports.
You'll probably see better performance running the gateway and management on separate appliances.
This is mainly due to the fact R80.x Management requires significantly more resources than R77.30 and earlier.
