Maestro Madness
Hi Guys,
I have started to make a VSX course and one important factor when designing a VSX cluster is how many VLANs you want to be able to have in each VS. By default its 64 VLANs per VS.
Another important factor is that 192.168.196.0 / 22 is used as default for internal communication network.
This means that you are unable to have this network within your enviroment if you expect the traffic to pass the VSX or the VS in anyway.
In this video we checking on how to change this default settings.
Regards,
Magnus
There is also a global limit to be aware of (1024 total including the physical interfaces).
Never seen 1024 in any SK,
4096 am aware of, anyway even to get to a 1000 within same VSX would take some work 🙂
What is the maximum number of interfaces supported by Check Point software?
Yes in that one it says 1024 for normal cluster and 4096 for VSX cluster.
that’s why I wonder where max 1024 comes from when it’s regarding VSX
sk99121 states 4096 as the max for VSX.
Might be the limit for non-VSX gateways and and old one at that.
A few details get lost in 25 years. 😬
Wow, vsx...have not touched it in years : ). Great stuff man!!
Thank you 🙂
For us VSX is a must have and we help more and more customers to deploy it.
I have to say, I always respected guys like you, who share knowledge that can help so many customers. Fantastic work Magnus!
