Transfer of config_backup from HW-A (standalone) to a different HW (standalone)

Hello Checkmates,

Any best approach in transferring a config backup from one CP hardware to another CP hardware (different model)  running on standalone mode (No management involved, purely gateway).

Im thinking of getting the config from the /var/log via show config command and save it to another folder.

Edit the config obtained from the old HW and load it to the new HW.

Suggestions would help a lot.

More power.

How can you use a GW without Management ? It would just block all connections... StandAlone (GW + SMS on one appliance) for me is not a good deployment at all...

If you read https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk108902 you will find:

System Backup can be used to back up current system configuration. A backup creates a compressed file that contains the Check Point configuration. This file includes the networking and operating system parameters, such as routing and interface configuration etc., but unlike a Gaia snapshot, it does not include the operating system, product binaries, and hotfixes.

Note: A Gaia backup, unlike a Gaia snapshot, can be restored on the same or a different appliance running the same Check Point Gaia OS version and hotfixes.
