Quantum 3920 feedback

We recently installed a cluster of Quantum 3920 with dual 10G connectivity.

They are really fast devices, the boot time is impressive and they integrate perfectly in the R82 SMS along with the relevant hotfix and Smart Console version.

We only have an issue on one of the systems where it's impossible to go in Expert mode, regardless of the authentication method (shared or per user).

In SSH, it gives:

/bin/clish: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/cli/lib/libcli_cmd.so: undefined symbol: pam_start

while in serial console, it just displays "\b".

In both cases, the connection is closed afterwards.

Not much documentation yet for R82.10 and we're just getting started with the cluster, we'll check for features and commands in the coming weeks.

I suspect this is a bug and probably should be reported to TAC.

According to TAC this is a known issue, currently at R&D.

I worked with customer who bought few of those, had not heard about such an issue. What jumbo?

It doesn't seem to affect all appliances as we have another one where Expert works fine.

Take 22, but was already there on base R82.10.

Got it! Sounds like something with that specific appliance then.

Interestingly, we now have this issue on the other appliance, after having changed the previously defined admin password.

I checked with customer and he told me they changed all 4 passwords, no issues.
