Power Supply 2 Down

Our checkpoint security gateway's power supply 2 is down.
1. How can we fix the issue?
2. Is there any possible way that we can check for some logs when the problem happens?

I highly appreciate everyone's help.

Why is this posted in General Topics ?

1. RMA the PSU

2. Use SNMP traps for reporting

See this article for info: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/General-Topics/Syslog-alert-for-power-supply-failure/m-p/10161#M...

CLI command to run in this case is

cpstat os -f power_supply

or

show sysenv ps

If the WebGUI and CLI shows it as we see it here, this is instant RMA...

You can check messages logs in /var/log directory. Also, better contact TAC, though most likely they may ask you to run hcp -r all command, so may as well do that beforehand.

Are there 2 power supply's in this system?

You can try to remove the cable, remove power supply and put it back in and try again.

Also try to use different power outlet (one that is working for sure).

If it is still not working start RMA.
