MGMT Port for Routing and Inspection
Hi Checkmates,
Currently we use 6700-B as standalone in our production, we need 1 more interface to communicate with DMZ switch but all 8 interfaces already used.
In datasheet, i realized that 6700 by default have 10 port :
6700 port
and those 2 ports are for sync and management. so my question is, can i use mgmt or sync port for managed the traffic to connecting with DMZ switch? Thank you!

I would use the sync port as you have no cluster and do not need it !

This is just designated for ease-of-use as Sync and Management - just port speed could be a consideration, but functionality usually is the same for all IFs.

The interfaces named "Sync" and "Mgmt" only have special names. They are not special in any other way at all. You can use them as additional traffic interfaces.
