IPS error after upgrade from R80.20 to R81

Hi Mate,

I am facing an error after upgrading the gateway from R80.20 to R81. IPS signature is up to date but it's showing IPS is not responding. Please share your views. The screenshot is attached.

Are you running the latest GA JHF for R81?

Otherwise please review sk163752 and advise if the problem persists?

I had the same problem, IPS was reporting not working, but in the logs I had seen IPS stuff....

(somehow cosmetic problem)

From the opened case they recommended the below (that fix it for us):

Please find the action plan below - 

1) Restart "FWD process"

stop: # cpwd_admin stop -name FWD -path "$FWDIR/bin/fw" -command "fw kill fwd"

start: # cpwd_admin start -name FWD -path "$FWDIR/bin/fw" -command "fwd"

2) Install Policy

I can look for the TAC email and attach it here, if needed.

I had this issue with customer once and we just ran ips off and ips on from ssh and worked fine afterwards. Cant recall exact version, but was definitely R80.xx flavour.
