CheckMates Go:
Maestro Madness
Dear CheckMates,
Do you know that does the Quantum LightSpeed 250 gateway supports HyperFlow and Dynamic Balancing (with R81.20) ?
In the relevant SK I can't find the QLS gateways, but maybe it was just not updated.
Thanks a lot!
EDIT: Neither Dynamic Balancing nor Hyperflow/pipelining is supported for use with Lightspeed at this time but it will probably change in a future release. Quoted from my Gateway Performance Optimization Course:
LightSpeed accelerator cards cannot be used with HyperFlow (or with Dynamic Balancing/Split) in R81.20 GA, but it is expected that support for this will be added in an R81.20 Jumbo HFA and in R82+. Consider though that Hyperflow and LightSpeed are completely separate and do not compliment or improve the performance of each other, at least not directly. This is because LightSpeed can only improve the performance of fully-accelerated traffic in the Accelerated Path at press time, but HyperFlow can only improve the performance of Medium Path traffic (PSL & CPAS). F2F/slowpath traffic will always be handled by a Firewall Worker Core purely in software and (probably) never be eligible for LightSpeed acceleration or HyperFlow boosting. Obviously having both LightSpeed and HyperFlow present on the same gateway once it becomes supported will improve overall gateway performance quite dramatically.
According to CPU cores this should work anyway, compared to supported models from SK.
