Checkpoint OS Kernel

Hi,

I heard recently that checkpoint was planning to upgrade the OS Kernel soon.

Does anybody know anything about it? Dates, implications, etc?

Will it be in R80.10 or perhaps in a totally  new release?

I guess that list of supported open server will be required to be totally refreshed then, right?

All the information which I know about the new kernel I got from here:

I would like to get some more details too, but I suppose it is too early for that.

It's definitely in the plans, but cannot get into specific timeframes at the moment.
