Can the 3200 appliance be managed locally?
Hi every one. I can't find documention that indicate me if 3200 appliance can be manage locally. This appliance is SMB, so at first I thought it was like that, but there isn't documentation that confirm it, as it happened with 1490 appliance.
Thanks

Yes it can, if it is HDD model.
In PartnerMAP (3200 Appliance product catalog), it says that below. Check 3rd line

The 3200 has a quad-core processor and 8GB of RAM (non-expandable I think) so it should be able to self-manage but probably won't be exactly blazing as far as management and SmartConsole performance but it should work.

I didn't know 3200 can be managed via WebUI the same way as 1490 appliance. And btw it is not exactly SMB as it runs Gaia and not Gaia Embedded. 🙂

It is not managed by WebUI, but it is All in One capable. Still requires SmartConsole for the administration.

You have asked your question in the wrong place - this is the SMB corner, not Enterprise Appliances and Gaia OS.

Thanks.

The 1200R/1400 Series are "Small Business" appliances (SMB appliances, i.e. running Embedded Gaia).
In the Product Catalog, they are grouped together.
Does that clear things up?

Unfortunately when what is published in the checkpoint portal has inconsistencies as in this case, this confusion is given. The desirable would be that the information about a product was consistent within the entire checkpoint portal.
Now, regarding my question in this branch of the community, why not consider modifying the label of "Enterprise and Gaia OS" to "Branch office / Enterpise and Gaia OS"? ... and so we clarify things in this community. (or something similar)
Anyway, I already learned the lesson today, but surely there will be more people like me who are starting with the brand and the same confusions are given.
Thanks for your valuable comments.

Thanx for the clarification. May be ask responsible parties to fix the web page then because according to it 1400 is Branch Office.
