770 Wifi extender through ethernet
Hi,
I use wifi capabilities on Checkpoint 770. Unfortunately there are some blind spots in my office, hence I am looking for some way to add one or two additional AP’s connected via ethernet which could work seamlesly with current wifi setup (like extension of existing wifi network from checkpoint instead of new wifi network).
Please advise how to achieve it and which devices would do the best this kind of setup.
greetings
yaric

I don't believe we've done any interoperability testing with WiFi extenders.
My own experience with WiFi extenders suggests you may have issues with them, particularly around the different MAC addresses the clients will have when connected to the extender versus the 770 itself.
Am curious what the community experience is with this.

I know lots of customers use Cisco/Aruba APs, but not really sure their compatibility with Check Point. I can ask few of my colleagues and let you know.

I'd think roaming between APs in such a setup could be problematic amongst other aspects (depending on the nature of your endpoints).
Comparatively the Wi-Fi on the 1570-1590 is possible an improvement worth investigating.
