cpsizeme SMB

Hi

If CPSIZEME doesnt work on SMB - what is a method to test if a device is appropriately specced for the environment?

Dr Spark/Dr load seems to show all green and good but the customer is convinced the box struggles at certain times.

Thanks

Open SR# with CP TAC - they can provide help here. But before that: Did you look into CLI cpview yet ? Also Monitoring, Extended Monitoring and Report Tabs could help.

Thanks, I wonder what the pre-sales guidance is on sizing: is it a loose understanding of number of users etc?

The datasheets (e.g. https://www.checkpoint.com/downloads/products/quantum-spark-2500-datasheet.pdf) contain numbers for Connections/Sec, Concurrent Connections, Remote Access Users as well as Firewall Throughput with different security options and VPN AES-GCM 1452B.

Best is to contact local office for this. Now there is no tool for SMB units like cpsizeme.

Dr Spark and Dr load are good ways to start. Do you use any monitoring tool to read the box with SNMP? Maybe you can see load issue there.
