Software Blade license renewal
Hello all,
We have a Quantum Spark 1550 appliance which is running on Version: R81.10.10 (996002993) and managed locally. It's been an year since we purchased this device and the software blades (Threat Prevention) has expired today. Currently the software blades shows No license. I've been checking with our Vendor to renew the license, in the meantime I'd like to have a Eval license applied to the device (as mentioned in https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/General-Topics/License-Renewal/td-p/212081) temporarily.
I've got a notification says,
"Congratulations, your 30-day evaluation period has begun.
You may now go to the selected gateway and turn on Threat Prevention blades."
Upon checking, All my software blades are turned on but shows "No license" (Screenshot attached)
Could anyone help me with activate this Eval license/ renew my software blades license for an Year?

The https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/General-Topics/License-Renewal/td-p/212081 is completely wrong here - this is SMB, see the video here for the correct procedure: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/SMB-Gateways-Spark/How-to-add-a-30-day-evaluation-license-to-a-S...
I also have written about it here: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/SMB-Gateways-Spark/1400-1100-1200R-700-600-Appliance-Demo-Units/...

It does not see you applied the license to the device. Is the second screenshot from the GW or the Product Center?

Hi @_Val_
Yes, I don't know how to apply the license to the device. Second screenshot from Product Center.
I got the below instructions from the support, but I don't have Update Contracts > "Import File option in my device local management.
Method 2: Download and Import the Service Contract File:
1. Login to your UC user
2. Click "Assets/Info"/"My Check Point" > Click "Download Contract File".
3. In the section titled "Service Contract File Download", select the Account(s) you need your Service Contract File for.
4. Select "Email File" or "Download Now".
5. Login to SmartUpdate
6. From the menu: select "Licenses & Contracts" > "Update Contracts > "Import File"
7. Browse to the directory where the file is located and click "Open"
8. The file will be added to the respective certificate key(s)
Please find the attached screenshot where my Software blades are enabled but I don't know how to renew or apply this Eval license
Thanks,

It would be the best to seek assistance from your Check Point partner, but you can also try doing everything yourself. Please look here: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk102029 specifically on how to generate and apply license on SMB box:
Small-Medium Business Appliances (SMB)
For Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMB), the designated evaluation license option is "Threat Prevention Evaluation."
When you select this option, you are prompted to select the User Center account associated with the SMB device. In addition, the user that creates the evaluation license must be linked to the specified User Center account. Enter the MAC address of the SMB device during this process.
When finished, the evaluation blades are integrated into the specified SMB device. Subsequently, the license for the SMB device must be generated and applied.
From the screenshot above, I believe you generated the wrong evaluation license.
In order to apply the newly generate license, follow the admin guide and the relevant chapter: https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/SMB_R81.10.X/AdminGuides_Locally_Managed/EN/Content/Topics/Mana...
To renew your regular license, you must reach out to your local Check Point office or a local Check Point partner

Thank you so much for your procedure video and the instruction. I was able to create & Install the Eval license on my SMB device (See attached screenshot)
I'm checking with our local partner to renew the regular license before the Eval license expires.
Thanks again 🙂
