Dear Team,
I have a cluster setup of Quantum Spark 1550 Appliance.
Recently I have got a message in CLI that admin password is expires in X days.
I have successfully changed the password for FW1 using below command
> set user admin type admin password <password>
But when I try to change the password for FW2.The below message was showing.
"Could not set administrator:You must change the password"
For reference I have attached the screenshot
Now I want to set the same password which was set for FW1.
Please suggest me in this
Regards,
SaranysTreams
Hi,
Which firmware version is installed on the cluster gateways? Is the cluster managed locally or centrally?
Thanks.
Hi,
It was managed centrally and firmware installed was R81.10.15 (996003749).
Regards,
Saranya
Potentially this process will help if you are still stuck.
Did you try simply:
set administrator username <username> password ?
Suggest a TAC case here.
Wortks for me like this:
sweet-sixteen> add administrator username NeuAdmin permission read-write
sweet-sixteen> set administrator username NeuAdmin password
Enter password:
Enter password (again):
sweet-sixteen>
Hi,
Thank you for heads up!
Is there any solution that with out adding new user as admin?

Saranya

Besides working with TAC?
You could try resetting the unit or upgrading to R81.10.17 depending on how radical you want to be.
