Maestro Madness
Hi,
I'm looking for the recommend software version for the SMB 1500 and the Quantum 6200 platforms.
I found these before but seems to be struggling this time.
Thank you
First - GAIA Embedded for SMBs: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk179615 shows that Check Point Recommended Firmware is R81.10.10 Build 996002993
Second - GAiA: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk152052 shows that Check Point Recommended version for all deployments is R81.20 with its Recommended Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Take 98

Thank you Sir
For Quantum Spark appliances (SMB) use the following link - it details each appliance and has a dedicated link:

Cheers!
sk179615 is still saying the recommended SMB firmware is R81.10.10, however we have multiple customers where Smartconsole is showing the recommended version is R81.10.17.
Internally we have been running R81.10.17 for several weeks with no apparent issues.
What is the official Check Point position on this?
What are other peoples experience with R81.10.17?
Wait and see, that is the best position ! It takes some time until the bugs of R81.10.17 are fixed 😉 EA of R82 for SMB also is around the corner. Fact is that the R81.10.15 IoT blade caused havoc with some configurations (named objects with IPs suddenly got automatic twins defined with MAC only) and in one case even destroyed a running SMB cluster. I would suggest to stay on R81.10.10 as long as possible...
Thanks Albrecht!
Was confused on how best to proceed, since R81.10.10 has been around for more than a year, and some of our customers have started asking why there has been no new firmware for the SMB boxes. At least now I can respond back with confidence and recommend them to stay on R81.10.10 until further notice.
Running R81.10.17+ on 1900
R81.10.17 is now recommended per sk179615.
Thanks, I think it just recently came out because it was still .15 very recently.
