Interface configurations

Hi CheckMates,

I would like to ask how can i check the interface configurations, status, link speeds on CP770 with R77.20.87?

I noticed we that the ethtool command is not working on the interfaces except DMZ, eth0 and eth2 but i also dont know on what interfaces do eth0 and eth2 is used or integrated.

[Expert@Gateway-ID-MAYAPA]# ethtool -g WAN
Ring parameters for WAN:
Cannot get device ring settings: Operation not supported

[Expert@Gateway-ID-MAYAPA]# ethtool -g LAN1
Ring parameters for LAN1:
Cannot get device ring settings: Operation not supported

is there a way around this? or can this be enabled on all interfaces? By the way this is working normally on 1500 series on R80.20.10.

I have a command on clish which is "show internet-connections" but the output is confusing for example there are so many link speed.

hi HristoGrigorov,

we would like to validate the configuration on the WAN interface with the output from the commands like ethtool, ethtool -S, ethtool -g, netstat -ni but failed to get the details as we are experiencing RX-Drops on WAN interface.

[Expert@Gateway-ID-MAYAPA]# ifconfig WAN
WAN Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:1C:7F:92:23:E4
inet addr:124.6.149.50 Bcast:124.6.149.51 Mask:255.255.255.252

collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:31646801 (30.1 MiB) TX bytes:58493240 (55.7 MiB)

[Expert@Gateway-ID-MAYAPA]# ethtool -g WAN

[Expert@Gateway-ID-MAYAPA]# ethtool -S WAN

I do not think the device driver can provide needed info which in my opinion is why it is not supported.

Hi,

Is this something that can be raised to RnD for RFE? we really need those statistics

Well, you can try but afaik this firmware is already in maintenance so not very likely to be extended with new features.
