Create WAN bond with WAN and DMZ ports on 1900 appliance

Hi!

We have an HA pair of 1900 appliances and we'd like to create bonds for the WAN connection. When going to the WAN connection setup on the appliance GUI, I see I can select "New Link Aggregation (bond0)" in the "Interface" field. In the list of fields for selection I see the LANX ports and the DMZ port, not the WAN port. If I select the DMZ port will the WAN port be automatically added? Is this a supported setup on 1900 appliances in HA?

Thank you!

See set internet-connection-bond for CLI commands - one thing to remember:

slave-port-1

Specifies the name of the first subordinate interface.

Press the TAB key to see the available options.

This interface must be unassigned, disabled, and without VLANs.

You can use any interface for WAN.

Thank you @G_W_Albrecht . So, before forming the bond between interfaces DMZ and WAN, I'll have to remove the configuration from the WAN interface right?

Thank!

LC.

The interface cannot already be configured / in-use is my understanding

Looks like that. In fact, you do not need to use the WAN port as SMBs support Flexiport (LAN port can operate as WAN), and you have a lot of choices

WAN Port 1x 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 port
DMZ Port 1x 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 port
LAN 1 GbE and 2.5 GbE copper Ports 2x 2.5GbE Base-T RJ-45 plus 16x 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 ports
LAN 10 GbE fiber Ports 4x10GbE SFP+ ports

Thank you all. I wanted to join WAN and DMZ ports, so I deleted the existing Internet connection, and created a new bond using the two Interfaces. Key was to delete the existing connection, to remove the configuration from the WAN interface and make it available in the list when forming the bond.

Thanks again!

Good! But for more traffic the LAN 10 GbE fiber Ports 4x10GbE SFP+ ports are the way - WAN & DMZ are 1000Base-T RJ-45 ports.

And @PhoneBoy can you move this to SMB?
