Checkpoint 1800 appliance WAN-B Port question

Hi Everyone,

Wanted understand, if i can use dual ISP in 1800 appliance - i see two WAN ports WAN and WAN-B, Can i use them as separate ISP connections.

In GUI i dont see WAN-B separate ISP config, its very confusing, couldnt find much documentation on WAN-B.

WAN and WAN-B ports

Two WAN ports each of which is a combo port of SFP and RJ45 (on the right).

Only one can operate a time once plugged in and connected.

RJ45 - supports 10/100/1000MbE.

SFP - supports 1000MbE

Thanks and Regards,

Venkatesh Patil

Multiple ISP links are supported (VLANs etc)

The physical WAN-B port is currently reserved for future use (refer notes in datasheet), although LAN ports can also be repurposed.

It's been over three years since this post was made, yet the WAN-B port still unused.

Can anyone confirm whether support for WAN-B as a separate ISP interface is planned in upcoming releases, such as R82?

It would be helpful to understand the roadmap or intended use case for this port, especially in dual ISP configurations.

Not heard anything specifically about this.
R82 for SMBs is planned for EA soon.

You can use the DMZ port for WAN2 to 2nd ISP.

The RJ45 port supports 10 / 100 MbE and 1 / 2.5 / 5 / 10 GbE.

The SFP port supports only 10 GbE.
