1590 Gateway and R81 Management

Hey hey,

we are currently trying to install the security policy from a R81 management server to our first 1590 SMB Gateway, but the installation fails with the general "the operation was unsuccessful" error. According to R81 release notes 1500 GWs can be managed with R81 management server, but sk165734 (1500 firmware releases) says nothing about R81. 
 
Does anybody if this setup is possible/supported?

Did you upgrade the SMS ? Jumbo 10 installed ? SMB was able to get a policy before ? What about policy pull from SMB ?

Jumbo 10 is not installed because I didn't see my problem in the resolved issues.
I don't know how the customer installed R81 on the SMS. SMB used to be a 1100 or 1400 with the same IP configuration.
Pulling the policy from SMB disconnected my session. Once I reconnected "outgoing policy" (a generic default policy I believe) was install on the SMB.
We disconnected the 1590 SMB und installed the old SMB so that the branch office can work again.

A 1500 must be configured differently to 1100 or 1400 - concerning TP policy. Or policy install will fail. I did have issues with 1550 at start, too. Appliance type in Dashboard is correct, i suppose, so better involve TAC !

I would also suggest to install JT 10 even if you have no reason - but important bugs have been fixed and new features like Web Dashboard are only active starting with this take...
