Hello all ,
Is there any specific configuration setting that prevent laptop from sleeping?
Hey @Geomix7
I was working with P81 team on another issue and asked them about this and guy even verified with senior engineer and they confirmed 100% this is NOT sase issue, but rather something with that particular laptop.
Best,
Andy
I can easily test this on my laptop and let you know.
Andy
Just tested on my end, no issues. By the way, dont see any settings on the client or portal itself for this anywhere. Maybe run command I attached in the screenshot, see if it shows anything sase related.
Andy
I try it on diffrent mac and one of them it shows that SASE is prevent sleeping
Just to test this further, I had it verified on windows 10, 11 and macbook air, no issues on any of them.
windows sase client version 11.6.0.2555
mac sase client version - 11.6.1.4855
Andy
Is Always On VPN enabled in the agent profile? Just wondering.
Good point Tom. I checked on my side and while its enabled in the portal, its not enabled on my client.
Andy
Yes
Does the behavior change if you temporary disable the Always On VPN then? I think it's worth to test.
If it does, then it's maybe by product design but you may want to ask Harmony SASE support for clarification, since I don't see such reference in the Admin guide.
By the way I enabled it on the client end and had exact same issue.
Andy
Hi Andy,
Good to know the suspected feature is indeed causing the behavior 🙂
Maybe someone from the SASE team can clarify this?
Maybe someone else can test it, just to be sure, but I got that behavior on 2 machines.
Andy
Hey ,
Since this issue appear only on 1 user , i didn't proceed with further investigation.(i verify that was harmony issue , i disconnect and computer sleep properly).
Oddly enough, only happened to me once as well, not after.
Andy
It's not something I've ever experienced as a user and I'm fairly certain it's an Always-On config.
Recommend engaging TAC.
@Geomix7 I actually asked sase team about this and they said its definitely not a known issue.
