Endpoint disconnects after few seconds - "reconnecting status"

Hello,

I try to train VPN (Remote Access) solutions on my lab enviromet and I got one problem. When I login in EP by using AD login and passwd connection is established correct but after few seconds the status is change to "reconnecting".

What can be source of this problem ?

Thank you in advance 🙂

If you use R77.30 version, the issue  could be the one from sk97688 !

Thank you very much for your reply!

The sympotms are almost the same:

After succesful connection I got status "Trying to connect..."

Unfortunately, I have R80.20 with JHF112, also my GW has only one external interface... but for expertimental purposes I tried enable it - when I installed policy i got error "TCP connection failure port=18191 [error no. 10]".

It's more like Client-to-Site configuration - I put external host in external network and try to connect via VPN.

Hello,

It was something messed with configuration. I followed Best Practices from CheckPoint and I reconfigured.
I don't remember unfortunately what exackly was the source of the problem.
Sorry :(. Check the configuration if it's fine, I think you should involve TAC.

Best Wishes,

Hey Nbto,

Thanks, just like in your case, the disconnection after a few seconds self-resolved in weird way and now it's after 1 hour. I'm researching why that is now.

Hello,

one common mistake I encountered with new Remote Access installation is that most forget to route the Office Mode IP range to the external interface, if it was picked from an internal range (e.g. a /24 out of a /16 network).

If forgotten, the gateway will allow the connect and everything is running fine but after a few seconds the VPN is disconnected without error.
