We’re excited to share the Early Availability release of two major new integration capabilities in Infinity Playblocks: API Request and Webhook Trigger. 

Together, these features dramatically expand what you can automate, integrate, and orchestrate using Infinity Playblocks - making it easier than ever to connect Playblocks with any third-party system.

Why this matters - The Open Garden Advantage

As part of Playblocks’ shift toward an Open Garden automation platform, these new capabilities remove traditional connector limitations and give customers the freedom to:

✔ Trigger Playblocks automations from any external system
✔ Send HTTPS/API requests to any third-party service
✔ Extend Playblocks integrations to tools we don’t yet provide native connectors for
✔ Seamlessly embed Playblocks into SIEM, ITSM, monitoring, and workflow ecosystems

This makes Playblocks more flexible, powerful, and interoperable than ever.

Webhook Trigger

Trigger your Playblocks automations from any external system - Splunk, ServiceNow, your own scripts, vendor alerts, cloud services, or custom apps.

Key Benefits ⭐ 

• Activate automations instantly from third-party events
• Works with both custom automations and out-of-the-box Playblocks automations
• Easy field mapping for custom payloads
• Optional authentication for secure triggering
• Automatically generated, unique webhook URLs

The webhook URL can be copied into any tool that supports sending an HTTP call - making integrations super simple.

Replace Trigger Capability 🔁

You can replace an existing automation trigger with a Webhook Trigger.
This makes it easy to retrofit existing automations to respond to external systems.

API Request Step

Send HTTPS requests directly from inside an automation - enabling outbound integrations with any service.

This includes full support for:

• GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE
• Bearer tokens, Basic Auth, Custom Auth
• Custom headers & body
• Response parsing via “example output”
• Reuse of auth profiles across steps

Why this is powerful ⭐ 

The API Request Step lets you integrate with systems without requiring a dedicated connector.
For example:

✔ Create a Freshdesk ticket
✔ Update Jira
✔ Call a custom internal API
✔ Retrieve data from cloud services
✔ Push updates to SOAR, SIEM, or ITSM tools

If it has an API - Playblocks can now talk to it.
