Hey guys,
I will admit, Im guilty of this as well, but just wondering, is there a way to configure an option that would PREVENT anyone else, except a person who made the actual post to mark answer as an acceptable solution?
I find that it would be only fair if whoever posts something decides if answer is solution or not, thats all.
Anyway, its super minor thing, but just throwing this out there.
Andy
No, from both technical and administrative perspectives. However, if you have an issue with any of the "solution" tags, let us know, and we will review them.
Unfortunately, there isn't an option to restrict "Accept as Solution" to the original poster, only to specific ranks/roles within the community.
In any case, we generally look at posts marked as a solution to ensure the marked post(s) are at least plausible as solutions.
It can also apply to "RFE" or "Not possible" answers as well.
If you see something that doesn't look right, approach us privately and we'll review it.

Hey Val,
Not often, sometimes I find that solution marked should not be as such, but maybe 5% of the time. Ok, thats fair, if I find such case/scenario in the future, will let you know.
Andy
When you see that, let me know.
Always should be true that a person marks the solution to its posted issue as such after it has been successfully tested. But sometimes after giving a solution, no more reply comes - as there maybe frustration sometimes about a solution like "RFE" or "just impossible", it could be fine if a documented solution is marked as such by others to help everyone to find it.
What i do not like: Some issue is posted, a solution given, but not marked as such; now someone replies with another issue for the same product, gets a successfull answer and marks it as a solution. Now the issue mentioned in the posts title will not be resolved by the accepted solution...
Yea, thats true, I seen it happen as well.
