change superuser password
Hello,
i want to change the superuser password for our CheckPoint admin user.
we just have a few of clusters with some nodes on each for HA and one Management VM.
we use R81.10
how can i change the superuser password on all Systems safely?
like this? (found here: How to change password of "admin" of SmartConsole? - Check Point CheckMates)
//
a. open ssh session to the machine and login as admin.
b. run the mentioned command: set user admin password - and change the password.
c. after changing password run "save config" and exit ssh session.
That will change both OS and GUI admin password.
//
or via Gaia Portal on every Node?
is it essential to change the admin password first on all Node-Hosts and then on the Management-VM or backwards (first Management and then on all Node-Hosts)?
thanks a lot
regards
Ronny

Something like this will make this process easier: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/SmartConsole-Extensions/Execute-Commands-Simultaneously-SmartCon...
To use this, you will want to generate a password hash per: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk107558
I don't believe the order is relevant here.
