K, figured it out. Had nothing to do with R82 actually or nic type, it was just that for browsers where it did not work, just had to allow all content for the site, since when I would try https://172.16.10.252/smartview, it would redirect to http.

Sounds very random. What was the NIC type beforehand?
e1000 is EOL, won't be supported on the upcoming version.

vmxnet3 is the default for most of my lab and it works. This is probably circumstantial.

Hey @Amir_Senn
Just flipped NIC type to vmxnet3 and google chrome opens both smartview and web smartconsole, no issues, but fails on Edge and Mozilla, not sure why, but could be just circumstential, as you said.

That might not be circumstantial. I meant the driver, because while changing the driver you probably turned off machine. Different browsers doesn't change the server side so everything should stay the same on that part.

Correct....steps I did:
-turned off eve-ng machine
-edited the settings, changed nic from e1000 to vmxnet3
-saved and started the machine
Tested smartview and web smartconsole, works in chrome and opera browsers, fails in edge, mozilla and brave, while web UI works fine on all
